Disaster recovery and point-in-time restore let us bring back files or systems from a specific backup point—after ransomware, accidental deletes, or a failed upgrade.
Backups alone aren’t enough if you can’t restore cleanly in a reasonable timeframe. Without tested recovery options, “we have a backup” still means days of downtime and guesswork.
